wrong, The hit/miss factor from normal attacks is removed completely by IW. That's why price of failure wont trigger and that's why insideous parasite wont trigger. Skills such as Empathy however will work, because it is triggered by the attack made.

whoever is testing price of failure, i'm telling you now that IW wont trigger it.

You missed me by about 5 minutes, that was kind of dissapointing. :-(

However, Empathy does work, has been tested, and is the solution to a very annoying problem. Thank you very much.

yeah, IW is the only skill in the game that removes the game mechanics involved in hit/miss, and replaces those mechanics with the properties of magical damage, where it can never miss and hitting does not apply.

An example of the properties of magical damage is found within skills such as Lightning strike, or Energy Burn (there are many others). Because magical damage does not follow any properties of hit/miss (excluding magical projectiles, which can be dodged), damage will always be dealt unless it is interrupted.

That's the most significant difference between damage caused by attacking and magical damage.
